Discovered in a Toronto night club, she recorded with A&M records in Canada for five years and had top forty hits on the United States and European charts. Her successful recording career lead to a hit television series on CBC in Canada along with appearances on many of the American music and talk shows such as The Tonight Show, Merv Griffin, Soul Train and the Midnight Special. Over the years through life experiences she developed a mellow, bluesy, jazz style which critics have called exceptional.
Opening for Cherrill is cimbalom musician, Gyorgy Lakotos.
